POGS think it appropriate to give their recipe for the 'Crystal-Greeno Cocktail,' a concoction of minor proportions and major ramifications. Absinthe has been portrayed as a dangerously addictive psychoactive drug associated with bohemian culture (sound familiar?). No evidence has shown it to be any more dangerous than ordinary liquor. Its psychoactive properties have been much exaggerated. The distillation and sale of absinthe in the United States resumed in 2007 having been banned since 1915. Bon appétit!
Place the gumdrop on the bottom of a champagne glass (preferably crystal). Pour the absinthe on it and add the Cristolino slowly as the gumdrop causes major bubbling. The addition of Cristalino Cava Brut, a bright green-gold color, to the verdant absinthe produces a color of which the Green Faerie would be astonished. Do not drive; for that matter try to avoid walking any further than the iced champagne bucket. Bonne chance!
